GAMING COMMISSION

The Twenty-Nine Palms Tribal Gaming Commission is an independent regulatory body charged with protecting the integrity of all gaming activities conducted on the Tribe’s land.

Governed by the Twenty-Nine Palms Gaming Ordinance, the Gaming Commission has broad regulatory authority and is responsible for ensuring compliance with Tribal law, the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, 25 U.S.C. Section 2701 et.seq., regulations of the National Indian Gaming Commission, and the Tribe’s Gaming Compact with the State of California.

This comprehensive regulatory scheme includes a rigorous employee and vendor screening and licensing process, thorough compliance auditing, and minimum internal controls for all activities that occur within the gaming properties, including the play of the games.

Tribal gaming regulators of the Twenty-Nine Palms Gaming Commission monitor all gaming activities to ensure that games are conducted honestly and fairly for the gaming public, to protect tribal assets, and to guarantee the safety and welfare of patrons and employees of all tribal gaming properties.

The Twenty-Nine Palms Gaming Commission is on duty 24/7 to observe, correct and report so that the public and employees can enjoy a safe and honest gaming environment on behalf of the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians.
